Geographical Location

Australia, with an area of 7.69 million square kilometers, is the earth’s largest island but smallest continent. Australia stretches about 3700 kilometres from north to south and about 4000 kilometres from east to west

States and Territories

The six states of Australia are New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania. The two territories are the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), home of the national capital, Canberra that includes Jervis Bay Territory and the Northern Territory.

Time Zone

Daylight saving time runs in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and South Australia from the end of October through to the end of March, Tasmania from the beginning of October through to the end of March. Except for the Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland have daylight saving during the summer months.


Australia's population grew by 1.9% during the 12 months ended 31 December 2008. Natural increase and net overseas migration contributed 38% and 62% respectively to this total population growth. Australian population reached 21,542,000 on 30 September 2008.

Australia is expecting approximate 1,33,000 new migrants under skilled migration in 2009 - 2010.

Aboriginal History

For more than 50,000 years, Australia's Aboriginal people have lived and thrived in Australia’s unique and challenging natural environment. Australia's rich vegetation and native wildlife helped them to establish their presence on the land. Today it is believed that its Aboriginals are the world's oldest civilization.


It's no secret that Australians love sports. With more than 120 national, and thousands of local, regional and state sporting organizations, it's estimated that six-and-a-half million people in Australia are registered sport participants.


English is the common language for communication in Australia. Unique colloquial English based dialect that can confuse visitors when they first hear it. From 'fair dinkum' to 'cobber', this dialect is commonly used throughout the land.


Australians love life and these shows in their culture, whether it is in appreciating the arts or exploring the great outdoors, leisure time is an important aspect of Australian life. Their cultural diversity has also influenced their culture, which results in a variety of celebrations right from Chinese New Year to the Indian Diwali.


Australia has many world famous landmarks out of which 17 properties are on the world heritage list. Besides the Opera House, Harbor Bridge and the great Ocean Bay, there are a host of other landmarks in the midst of beautiful cities, dramatic cliffs, tranquil bays and the richness of the Australian desert. 

The Great Barrier Reef, the Tasmanian wilderness, the wet tropics of Queesland and Shark bay, Kakdu national park are the few other places on the world heritage list.

To secure an offer, a signed application form with all the relevant documents should be submitted. The faculty at the respective university/institute will take the decision on the student's application. The universities visit our office to conduct interview and offer spot admissions to the eligible students. 

Most of the courses commence twice a year i.e. February and July, for General MBA there are 4 intakes (February, April, July and September)
