Geographical Location:

History

Thousands of years ago, Great Britain was joined with Europe and was covered with ice. Later approx. 15,000 years ago, the weather became warmer. The ice melted and the sea level rose. Great Britain became an island about 8000 years before. 
Celtic people called Britons settles in Britain. The Victorians lived over one hundred and fifty years ago during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837 to 1901) and it was a time of enormous change in this country. The United Kingdom (UK) was formed in on January 1, 1801 and constitutes the greater part of the British Isles

UK sportsmen and women hold over 50 world titles in a variety of sports, including professional boxing, rowing, snooker, squash and motorcycle sports, rugby, football (soccer), cricket, golf, tennis and boxing.

Newspapers are traditionally categorized into two types in the UK Broadsheets which are larger in size are more intellectual and upmarket; and Tabloids which are smaller in size are more down market

English is the widely used language and other common languages are Welsh and Scottish.

London has the largest non-white population of any European city and over 250 languages are spoken there. Therefore not all British people are White or Christians.
